Rhubarb & Custard
From this (in February)....
to this (in June).....
Yummy rhubarb crumble!!!
and custard...mmm...that's the idea!!
I came across this gorgeous ad on the back of a 1946 Women's Illustrated magazine - it's good to see that some good old British brands are still with us!!
Hi, Thank you for thinking of me and passing on your award. That was very thoughtful of you. I hope you don't mind but I made a decision a while ago not to pass on awards and tags anymore. Thanks again though! Deb x
Oh delish - the best and truely British combination. But don't you just hate the new lids on the custard tins? I top up one with a 'proper' lid coz I am so put off by the plastic 'easy to open' one. What was hard about the tin lid? Anyway have arrived here via Kitschen Pink and so pleased I have. CKx
I adore rhubarb! I recently planted a crown and so I hope for a bumper crop at some stage!

ReplyDeletemmm that looks delicious!
ReplyDeleteI think I may get a few more sticks off our rhubarb and make a crumble too-good idea!

I've just discovered you too! Love the vintage advert. I've just been browsing a 1948 Good Housekeeping and enjoying the ads in there!
